A serviced apartment is just that; an apartment that can be hired on a nightly basis to include cleaning, with towels and linen changed, at least once a week. All the apartments are fully furnished, have a kitchen/ kitchenette, and offer many hotel-like services. With the added luxury of cooking your own meals as and when you choose, a serviced apartment really is a home away from home.

What is the difference between a hotel and a serviced apartment?

Serviced apartments are gradually emerging as the most preferred place to stay for both corporate and long term travellers today. A serviced apartment is a rental facility, like a hotel, where you can stay for a few weeks depending on the nature and purpose of your visit.

Many guests prefer to stay at serviced apartments when they relocate to a new city and have to look for a permanent place. The reason why serviced apartments are the preferred choice for those who seek transit accommodation either for short-term or extended stay is because living at a serviced apartment feels much like living at home. Serviced apartments are operated much like hotels-- you reserve rooms by calling or writing to the property, you follow a check-in and check-out schedule.

Serviced apartments are usually 30% to 35% less expensive when you compare them to hotels. This is because the pricing structure at serviced apartments is predicated on longer duration stays thus resulting in significantly higher occupancy ratios.

Serviced apartments are more spacious allowing you to literally spread yourself all over the place.

Service apartments offer a more homely experience and are thus the most preferred choice for long stay business traveller. The Guests also have the advantage of cooking their own meals in a Service Apartment.

What happens after I have submitted an Inquiry?

After an inquiry is made, the we will reply to you.(Please note that the reply may be delayed in case of public holiday or similar) We will inform you the availability of the property, based on the information from the Inquiry Form.

How do you handle Private Information provided by me by sending an Inquiry?

Shikhar Service Apartment is committed to protecting your privacy, we guarantee that we will not sell, rent, trade or otherwise provide your personal information to others. We only use the information we collect about you to process your inquiry.

How is housekeeping and linen change arranged?

In our apartments the housekeeping team changes the linen, towels weekly and cleans the apartment daily.

Are the prices per person or per apartment?

Prices are for the apartment rather than per person, however the number of persons permitted to occupy an apartment is limited to the number of beds provided. If you enter your arrival date, number of people and number of nights, we will guide you to the further process of accommodation.

How much do I pay to make the booking?

To secure a booking we require a 25% non-refundable deposit to be paid on by bank Transfer.

How and when do I pay the remaining balance?

On arrival you are asked to pay in cash/cheque that covers the remaining balance of the rental charge.

Is there a security deposit that I have to pay on arrival?

You will be required to pay the deposit which will act as security during your stay.

Do I have a secure car parking inside the apartment complex?

Yes we do have secure parking for one car per apartment and also visiting guest parking on request.

How will I receive my confirmation?

We will send you a confirmation message or email you saying that the booking is confirmed.

How secure the apartment is?

Shikhar Service apartment are totally secure. We have very honest people working with us and we take care of all our guest belongings also.

About my booking

Are the photos of the actual apartment I will book?

The photos on the website are representative of apartments at the location.

Is it possible to view an apartment before I book?

Yes we can usually arrange viewings, though this can depend on occupancy of the apartments at the time. Please call us and we will book a mutually convenient time to view.

Can I place an apartment on hold before I book it?

We operate a first-come, first-served policy. However sometimes we are able to place an apartment 'on hold' for a short time - please call us we will be happy to help.

Is there a minimum or maximum period for a booking?

The minimum period of booking can vary from 1 night, weeks or months.

How do I book?

When you make an enquiry we will provide you will all the details regarding our apartment. After that you can book online or can visit us. Once you book you will receive an email confirmation together with the invoice(s). When payment has been received you will receive a detailed booking summary, directions to the apartment and details of how to check-in and/or collect your keys.

How and when do I pay for the apartment?

You may pay by bank transfer. We also accept cash payments. All bookings must be paid for in advance unless otherwise agreed beforehand in writing.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

Charge card details are generally taken instead of a deposit. If a deposit is required our sales team will let you know. Deposits are refunded one the apartment has been checked on your departure.

I want to make a booking for several months – will I have to pay for the whole stay when I book?

For stays of over six weeks, we are happy to invoice on a monthly basis. Payment is due before the period covered on the invoice.

How do I get check-in details for the my stay?

Once your payment is taken you will be emailed comprehensive check-in details. You will either be met on arrival or receive instructions enabling you to access the apartment yourself.

What time is check in and check-out time?

Our check-in and check-out time is flexible as per convenience of our guests.
